Catherine Stott is a professional artist and experienced tutor.
In residencies at Morpeth Folk Gathering, Hexham Abbey, and outdoor summer locations, and through themed exhibitions, she has taken inspiration from varied environments - landscapes, gardens, coasts, villages - and from poetry, music, drama and dance.
In her work she employs a range of 2D media, and will use her experience as a tutor to help you decide what is right for you.
Catherine works with students, individually and together, to increase skills with art materials, and to demystify subjects such as composition, scale and perspective and colour theory.
You will develop the skills to choose a good subject and sketch confidently outdoors.
Groups are small- usually 5 to 7 students- there is individual space
and support to explore the style and medium which suits you.
